| Govt will not spare under performers: Sham | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 15: While issuing a stern warning to the poor performers, Government will not spare all those who do not deliver as per the para-meters and expectations of the general public stated Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture Sham Lal Sharma.
While reviewing the progress of health scenario in the Kashmir division at a meeting held here today.
He called upon the health fraternity to work with extra zeal and dedication to provide best medical facilities to the people across the State. He said medical is a noble profession and all those associated with it must make their best efforts to uphold its dignity. Stressing the need for close coordination between various wings of the department, the Minister said that desired results are not possible without cooperation.
He asked the senior functionaries to enhance the frequency of their field visits to upgrade the efficiency of ground level health institutions.
He said ground level functionaries need to be sensitized about various new strategies to improve the healthcare and implementation of flagship programmes of Central Government. He also asked for organizing frequent health awareness camps in the rural areas to sensitize the general masses about various diseases and their prevention.
He said several steps have been initiated by the Government during the past over three years to improve the working conditions of the doctors and para-medics in the health institutions and it is desired that they must perform and achieve the desired targets.
He also issued categorical warning to those who violate the guidelines of various schemes, adding that strict action against the defaulters will be taken. |
