| VWC hails Relief Commissioner's initiative | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BARAMULLA, May 15: Veerwan Welfare Committee (VWC), Baramulla has hailed the Relief Commissioner (M) for visiting the transit camp and listening the issues and concerns of the migrant employees recruited under PM's package.
A meeting of Veerwan Welfare Committee, Baramulla was held under the chairmanship of Bharat Bhushan and was presided by Rakesh Pandita.
It may be recalled that the employees were experiencing various problems over the past one year regarding the sharing of accommodation, water scarcity and other issues.The commissioner gave the employees a patient hearing and on spot gave directions for the allotment of separate accommodation and sanctioned two hand pumps and directed to construct tube wells. |
