| Socialogy students’ field trip concludes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 15: Two days field trip of Department of Sociology, Ramnagar Campus, University of Jammu which was began on May 9 concluded here today. Over 30 students of 2nd and 3rd semester of sociology took part in it.
During the trip, the students were visited various Environment Park at Raika, Siddhra etc. under their respective teacher incharge to study the impact of climate change on Biodiversity. The students were also participated in the group discussions on social issues.
On the last day, the students visited Surinsar and Mansar lakes under the supervision of the director, Prof VD Singh with aim to study the impact of establishment of Surinsar and Mansar Development Authority on the Environment, Tourism and socio-Economic profile of local people. The students also visited localities and interacted with them to gather the desired information.
Others who were present during the trip included Surinder Kumar, Faculty Sociology , Prakriti Sharma and Sukhdeep Kour, Faculty MCA department, Ramnagar Campus and others. |
