CM must intervene in misappropriation of ration: JKHRW | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 15: The J&K Human Rights Watch (JKHRW) has said that coalition government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has done a lot for the welfare of the people and the state beside has been at the path of progress and development, however, some persons with vested interests in the ruling party have indulged in alleged corrupt practices thereby maligning the image of the party. In a statement issued here today, the state chairman, JKHRQ, B L Kapoor said that during his recent visit to Rajouri it was observed that due to irregularities, frauds and misappropriation in ration supply people of the district are suffering a lot. Kapoor said that this all had been done without fear of law and rules because of the might and influence of high profile persons in the government who were shielding all these erring officials/officers resulting in huge embezzlement of ration supply to the tune of crores. He appealed the Chief Minister to intervene towards rampant corruption in Rajouri where the embezzlements to the tune of crores of rupees have already been surfaced especially in CAPD.
