India must talk tough with Pakistan on terrorism: KPC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 15: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has demanded that India should talk tough with Pakistan and make terrorism central theme of the talks and categorically convey to Pakistan that Kashmir’s accession with India is final which is neither to be debated nor discussed. Condemning the cunning attitude of Pakistani Government which continue to support militancy in the state, KPC chief, Kundan Kashmiri said that peace talks of Pakistan with India is nothing but camouflage to promote its interests as it continue to be in denial mood to take action against dreaded terrorists responsible for death and destruction in J&K state, Mumbai and other places of the country. Terrorist training camps continue to operate in POK and Pakistan. There is no change or any let up in rough policies and rigid attitude of Pakistan towards Indian state. Discussing political situation, terrorist related incidents viz-a-viz return of Kashmiri Pandits to the valley in a meeting with executive members of KPC today at New Delhi, Kundan Kashmiri strongly reacted that increasing activities of terrorist organizations in particular of LeT in Kashmir Valley. Kashmiri said that recently posters have been put up in Sopore, Pattan and other places with hit list of twenty persons of valley after branding them informers in order to prevail psychological dominance on the people of the state. He said it is an eye opener for all those leaders and others who are making all out efforts for withdrawal of Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) from the state of J&K and pleading for return of KPs after falsely claiming that normalcy has been restored in the valley. He said that present lull in the valley can not be treated as normal situation because presence of terrorists in particular of LeT is going more and more brazen day by day and infiltration continue to happen.
KPC Chief said that withdrawal of AFSPA from the valley would led to spread of anti-national and criminal activities and would erode the authority of Army to search, arrest of terrorists, destroy their arms dumps and hide outs from the valley and Kashmiri Pandits, if forced to return, will become again soft target for the terrorists.
