‘Police taking no chances’ | | | early times report Srinagar, May 15: Jammu and Kashmir police is looking out for five persons who allegedly put up a list of 13 persons in the form of posters in Pattan town of Baramulla district in the state. "We have taken cognizance of the posters and are investigating the matter," Inspector General of Police S M Sahai said. He said although the posters look like the handiwork of some local miscreants, the police is not taking any chances and will investigate the matter thoroughly. Posters carrying the names of 13 persons, who are purportedly on Lashkar-e-Taiba's hit list, appeared in some parts of Pattan town, 27 kms from here, this morning. These people have been accused by the militant group of indulging in "anti-movement" activities. |
