Is Amir Khan enough to bring change in modern society
Truth Alone Prevails
TOUSEEF IQBAL BUTT5/16/2012 11:46:35 PM
The film star Amir Khan started a new TV show
Satyamev Jayate on Star Plus is working on the social
issues of Indian society. Various social evils practiced in society got filtered on this show. The concept of the show was not revealed in the Indian media until the show officially went on air on May 6, 2012.It was mostly referred as a talk show discussing social issues like female foeticide in Indian society, child labour, health problems, corruption and other issues affecting the country. He said, the show is about meeting the common man of India, connecting with India and its people. What actually the human being wants is no one knows. Those who are in a queue of doing something for the society is always facing the critics and put them under the set of unsystematic runners. One of the Bollywood star is now in a search of getting the solution of social problems and tried to make public aware about how to get out from these social stigmas but the question arises here that Is Amir khan's strategy in bringing change can enough for society ? Its not the struggle of one individual who are suppose to be the only human being on earth .why should only one struggle on the way to get truth. Those who are involved in a stream of evils in society are no doubt should get their real end. We all should take responsibility of our own not keeping in mind that someone else is fighting for us. Like the first show of Satyamev Jayate focused on the issue of female foeticide in India. This is really the serious issue of Indian society where the girl is killed in the womb of mother and this has been done by the willingness of their parents and supported by the intellectuals of society called as Doctors. A new business of medical sciences. In this first episode of Satyamev Jayate claimed that according to 2011 census, the rate at which the unborn female child is killed amounts to killing off 10,00,000 girls a year and there were 914 girls for every 1,000 boys. This is not the data of Indian growth but such a list which make us realize about the ugly faces of human being. Female foeticide is not the only single serious social issue of Indian society there are others like casteism, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, child labour and many more have a need of good social change.
Only Amir Khan is not enough for bringing change in the society. We all should be the part of this change because somewhere in our neighborhoods, local area, in our villages and even in our homes this practiced might be survived. Non Governmental Organizations are no doubt working on this serious issue in many places in India but still this practice couldn't meet its end. Until and unless every individual learn to respect the girl child in society and the value of her presence in society it's little complicated to eradicate this practice from its roots.
