Retd cops assail Govt
5/16/2012 11:49:06 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, May 16: Retired police officers have assailed the Government for delaying the release of 6th pay commission arrears in their favour. In a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of retired DSP Harmesh Sharma, district president of ex-policemen welfare league (PWL), the retired police officers said they failed to understand why the government was not releasing 6th pay commission arrears in their favour.
They said it was unfortunate that despite their repeated visits to the concerned authorities, nothing had been done in this regard so far. They urged DGP Kuldeep Khoda to take steps for the revival of SRO No 458/P of 1999 and welfare of retired police personnel.
