Impersonator held using Professor's ATM card | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 16: An impersonator allegedly withdrawing Jammu University Professor's salary from ATM of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Branch Jammu University was apprehended by the Bank staff today who was later handed over to the police. As per police sources, the bank officials were on alert following an amount of Rs 7,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from the account of the same professor namely Sadju Din, posted with Political Science Department somewhere in the month of December. "The professor later lodged complaint with the bank's branch manager in this connection, sources said. They said, today, when the same impersonator was trying to withdraw the hefty amount of Rs 19000 from the account of professor, alert bank staff caught hold of him and handed over to the police. He has been identified as Arshad Ahmed. A police officer when contacted said that Jammu University Authorities has not registered a complaint against the incident till late hours adding the matter was under investigation. |
