| PDP (M), Martand Sabha discuss arrangements at KP religious places | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 16: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (Migrant Wing) President, Ashok Bhat along with PDP Senior leader Dr R K Pardesi interacted with activists and members of Martand Sabha and discussed problems pertaining to the facilities to pilgrims thronging to valley from within and outside the State. While discussing the problems the PDP members were apprised that Martand Sabha President and general secretary both are doing theirbest for smooth lining the arrangements at various shrines in valley. The members also expressed concerns over mysterious death of the fish in the sacred pond at Martand Temple, and demanded government to take immediate necessary steps, keeping in view the sensitivity, piousness and importance of the Historical Martand Temple. "Government should accord directions to the concerned department (Fisheries) immediately before the whole spring will get contaminated, and the water used by the inhabitants of the Martand town should flow clean and healthy, they added. While speaking in the meeting Ashok Bhat and R.K.Pardesi appealed to the government to ensure the uninterrupted supply of ration, sugar, edible oil, firewood should be made in time during the whole summer season of pilgrimage.
