Randhir seeks support for Sangma as President

Jammu, 18 May : Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh and NCP chief J&K state has appealed all the political parties in the country to elect 65 years old P A Sangma unanimously as first President of India from the Scheduled Tribe communities.
Singh welcomed the decision of BJD Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and AIADMK who Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK supported the candidature of the former Lok Sabha speaker. Singh said that he is shortly going to Delhi to meet the the various political parties in the country so that a consensus is worked out on the name of PA Sangma the next President of India, being highly talented, secular and forward looking statesman. Randhir Singh appeals to all political parties to elect Sangma as a President of India. In a press statement issued here today Singh a veteran leader said as a Chief Whip of the Congress legislature Party did announced the name of V V Giri against Sanjeeva Reddy who is the nominee of Congress party as a candidate for the post of President of India under the leadership of Late G M Sadiq . Singh a veteran of many battles close friend of PA Sangma said "History is never out of Fashion" and country needs at this crucial movement honest upright brilliant administrator as Sangma has all these qualities and qualifications to be elected as President of India who is inspiration to the youth of this country and the people living in the Mountain .
He will also be the first person from Jammu and Kashmir to kanyakumari and from North east region of the country to be elected to the highest constitutional post , hereby strengthening national integration and unity on becoming next President of India , keeping in view his clean image , distinguished services to the nation in various capacities and above all most successful Speaker of the Parliament . Singh added that Sangma a Schedule Tribe known as Hill Man knows well the problems of people residing in all difficult mountainous and rural India
