| Jammu, May 18 : In the Nagar Singh CD case, Ravinder Gupta @ Gola Shah surrendered in the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu in FIR NO 42/2012 u/s 341/342/352/427/452/506/464/479/471/120-B and 3/30 Arms Act and 66 (A) IT Act of police station Cyber cell Jammu and also filed bail application seeking his release.
After hearing senior Advocate AK Sawhney assisted by Advocate Aseem Sawhney strongly sought bail and for the compliance of guidelines in Supreme Court judgment Titled DK Basu VS State of West Bengal and sought permission for consultation with client, Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu Balbir Singh Jaswal looking into the totality of circumstances sent Ravinder Gupta @ Gola Shah to police custody for investigation with the direction that he be produced on the next date of hearing. The case relates a controversial CD allegedly involving a conversation of police officer with a private individual regarding the striking of a deal. --JNF |
