| Jammu, May 18:KC Public School organized a five days theatre-cum-leadership workshop in which forty children participated who recently were nominated to Students' Council for the academic year 2012-13.
Spokesperson of school stated that purpose of the workshop is to nurture attitudes and skills in these students to connect with their inherent potential for leadership through a series of theatrical activities ranging from body calisthenics to creation of original theatrical content.
The children during the 'workshop interacted with Pratiusb Toor - a dynamic resource person from New Delhi. Besides interaction with eminent theatre personalities the children attending the workshop have evolved an interesting street play using typical Indian folk theatre traditions such as Jatra, Tamasha, Nautanki and puppet technique. Speaking on the occasion Arti Chowdhary Director of Junior School said the school is committed to innovation to make education truly child-centered and great deal of work is already being done in line with the concept of multiple intelligences and Edward de Beno's modules of creative and lateral thinking. |
