| | Jammu, May 18: Ramban Police rescued twenty three bovine in two separate nakas at different places of district Ramban and arrested drivers of two trucks being involving in to carrying bovine illegally to Srinagar. Reports revealed that a naka party intercepted one Truck bearing registration number JK14A-5902 which was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar at Ramsoo early this morning. "During checking, it was found that the vehicle was loaded with 12 bovine animals which are being illegally taken towards Kashmir valley for selling purposes. The Truck along with bovines have been seized and driver of the vehicle namely Farooq Ahmed S/o Abdul Aziz Malik R/o Chamalwas, Banihal has been arrested. In this connection a case FIR No. 26/2012 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramsoo, Police said. Meanwhile in another similar incident police team Chanderkote Police Station intercepted one TATA Mobile bearing registration number JK12-3640 which was on its way from Batote to Srinagar and found that the vehicle was loaded with 11 bovine being illegally taken towards Kashmir valley. "The Tata Mobile along with bovines have been seized and driver of the vehicle namely Zubar Ahmed S/o Mohd Akram Gujjar R/o Dhar mound, Batote has been arrested. In this connection a case FIR No. 24/2012 u/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote, police added. Pertinent to mention here that Anil Magotra, SP Ramban had issued instructions to all SHO's to laid nakas on the National Highway to foil the nefarious designs of bovine smugglers. "Ramban Police achieved a success by registering 06 cases of bovine smuggling in 03 consecutive days in which 67 bovines have been rescued, 08 bovine smugglers have been arrested and 04 vehicles have been seized, police said. |
