| Samba, May. 18: A meeting to make arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2012 was held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Samba, Mubarak Singh in the Conference Hall of District Administrative Complex, Samba.
The DDC asked all the District Officers to make necessary arrangements for ensuing Yatra as per the past practice. He directed the Executive Engineers, PHE and PDD to ensure uninterrupted Water Supply and Power Supply at all places where yatries would stay in large number so as to avoid any inconvenience to the Yatries. Likewise, the Chief Medical Officer was also asked for keeping the team of doctors and paramedical staff with sufficient stock of First Aid/Emergency medicines alongwith ambulances at these places. The representatives of various temples/shrines 'viz' Chichi Mata Temple, Narsingh Dev Ji Temple, Ghagwal, Mahavir Temple-Dwarkapuri, Ashram at Nonath informed that like the previous years, they shall be making arrangements for stay of yatries in their respective complexes and shall also organize langers during the yatra. However, they requested for co-ordination from District Administration for Medical facilities including an ambulance to be readily available, availability of cooking gas, deployment of police personnel and sanitation in and around these shrines/temples.
The Additional Superintendent of Police, Samba informed that police/security personnel shall be deployed in adequate strength at main places where pilgrims will be staying, besides also the lady police at Chichi Mata Temple, Narsingh Dev Ji Temple, Ghagwal, Mahavir Temple, Dwarkapuri, Ashram at Nonath.
He also informed that patrolling of highway shall be conducted and strict vigil shall be maintained to avert any untoward situation. |
