| Jammu, May 18: Sunil Dimple president Jammu west assembly movement has in press statement appealed the AICC president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and all the visiting delegates of the congress party attending the convocation in the valley to nominate the next President of India from the Jammu and Kashmir state. Dimple demanded that Ghulam Nabi Azad, the former Chief Minister should be sent back to the state as the Congress party was fast losing its base in the state due to factionalism. He rued that the congress party and its ministers, who won the majority of the assembly seats from the Jammu region had totally surrendered the interest of the Jammu region before the kashmiri leadership. Seeking rotation of CM's office within the coalition, he said that the people of the Jammu region fought a long battle for the chief minister from the Jammu region, Gulam Nabi Azad became first CM from Jammu. Heb reiterated that chief minister from Jammu was necessary to mitigate the woes of the people of the region who have faced discrimination at the hands of kashmiri dominated polity in J&K. |
