| 200 farmers listed for getting KCCs | | | UDHAMPUR, May 19:- The farmers of Chenani Block were today made aware regarding Kissan Credit Cards (KCCs) at a training programme cum awareness camp held at village Ossu in Block Chenani.
The programme was organized by Agriculture Department in which a large number of farmers, including women of different villages participated . During the camp, the importance of KCC and its benefits for enhancing agricultural production and diversification of agricultural activities were discussed in detail. The farmers were also detailed about the procedure of securing KCCs.
Agriculture Extension Officer, Samroli, . Jyoti Prakash disclosed that about 200 farmers were listed under KCCs during the camp. He also educated the farmers about benefits of using vegetable hybrid seeds and technical knowhow regarding the coming Kharif Cereal Crop.
Soil samples were also taken from farmers and gage the advise them for timely soil testing for the proper dose of fertilizers.
Among others, JAEOs, Vinay, ReZ of Ossu, Dinesh Jandiyal, sarpanch, . Bodh Raj and a large number farmers of the areas actively participated in the camp. |
