173 youth from 4 Nayabats selected, recruits hail transparency

SRINAGAR, May 19: Hundreds of youth from Khonmoh, Hawan, Zoonimar and Juzvi Khanyar revenue Nayabats of Srinagar thronged the Bakshi Stadium from early hours to get themselves recruited in Jammu and Kashmir Police at a special recruitment rally held here today. The rally was a part of the drive launched by JKP to recruit eligible youth in the force from the un-represented areas of the State. During the day long process 173 candidates belonged to 255 mohallas and villages of four Nayabats of Srinagar having negligible representation in Police Organization, were recruited on the spot. The selected candidates qualified all required tests, they were put for by the Selection Committee comprising IGP Kashmir Zone, S. M. Sahai, DIG (CKR), Syed Ahfadul Mujataba, AIG (Personnel) PHQ, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, SSP, Srinagar, Syed Ashiq Hussain, SP Hqr: Aijaz Ahmed, Deputy SP DAR, Srinagar, Riyaz Ahmed Wani and Deputy SP (Personnel) PHQ, Sheikh Zaffar Ullah.
The process was conducted under the close supervision of Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. Kuldeep Khoda. The selected recruits include 54 graduates and post-graduates, 69 (10+2) pass and 50 matriculates. On the occasion, selected recruits expressed their happiness over the process of selection and transparency adopted by the department. Muzaffar Ahmed Mir of Zakura, a post-graduate in commerce said that he was very eager to join the police organization, where he could serve the people better. Another post-graduate, Mohammad Rafiq Ahmed Wani of Tailbal said that the process was very transparent and less time consuming. Manzoor Hussain Lone of Balhama, post-graduate in Persian, expressed joy over his selection and said that he belonged to un-represented area and was very happy on his selection. Diploma holder in automobile engineering Rafiq Hussain Mir of Nishat said that he had attempted several times for his selection in the police organization and finally he succeeded this time to get himself recruited. On the conclusion of rally,. Khoda addressed the selected candidates and congratulated them for their selection. He asked the recruits that they have been inducted in a disciplined force and their every act would be governed by the laid rules and regulations. They would have to show their discipline and loyalty towards law of the land and prefer safety and honour of the people over their personal interests. He hoped that the enrolment of new energetic youth would strengthen the will of the department to prevail lasting peace in the State and would also strengthen the image of the force at all levels.
