CJM orders I/C Bani Police post to probe of alleged 'human trafficking'

Kathua, May 19 : Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kathua directed Police Incharge Bani for conducting the investigation against two persons for their alleged involvement in selling off wife of Yash Paul to Sanjay Kumar for rupees 50,000 on the complaint of victim Smt Rekha Devi w/o Yash Paul resident of village Surgula(Daulka) Bani. In his order CJM Kathua has directed Police Incharge Bani under section 156 (3) for conducting the legal investigation against the Yash Pal s/o Rattan Chand, Rattan Chand s/o Achru, both are residents of Daulka Bani, and Sanjay Kumar s/o Ram Lal, Ram Lal s/o Achru, Marino w/o Ram Lal residents of village Daulka Tehsil Bani ,Kathua for being involved in selling off wife of Yash Paul to Sanjay Kumar for rupees 50,000 on the complaint of victim Smt Rekha Devi w/o Yash Paul resident of village Surgula (Daulka) Bani. According to complaint victim Rekha Devi was married with Yash Paul on Sept 2009 as per the Hindu rites and ceremonies and alleged that his husband Yash Paul's and his father Rattan Chand took the advantages of her illiteracy and innocence sold her to one Sanjay Kumar s/o Ram Lal of village Roulka Bani against a sum of Rs 50000. And thereafter, the accused Sanjay Kumar forcibly took (Rekha Devi) to some unknown place in district Doda and was kept there for about one year despite her resistance she was forced for physical relations and she became pregnant later delivered a child who is now of the age of about two months. "Now accused Sanjay Kumar brought Rekha Devi back to his residence at Roulka, Bani and now he is asking and pressurizing her to pay him sum of Rs.50000/- the sum for which she was purchased by the Sanjay Kumar from husband of Rekha Devi Yash Paul and only then the accused Sanjay Kumar would set free to go to the Yash Paul else he (Sanjay Kumar) would again sell her to some other person to recover the sum, the complainant said.
