5/20/2012 12:07:49 AM
Billawar, May 19: Taking a dig at National Conference (NC) leaders for not admitting that blunders were committed by the successive National Conference regimes in the state, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that NC leaders could not befool the people any more. Addressing a public meeting at Billawar area general secretary of PDP Thakur Balbir Singh said that it is a historical fact that successive NC regimes have bartered natural resources of the state just to remain in power but the NC leaders are not accepting this reality. He suggested the NC leaders of the present generation to go through the history before countering allegations of PDP leaders. "Instead of countering our allegations without any substantial proof, NC leaders are giving statements in vague which attach no significance, he added. "I failed to understand why NC leaders are not accepting this historic fact", he equipped.
Pointing towards rampant corruption in the state, Singh said that one after another minister has been exposing after repeated interval but the government is not serious to check the menace of corruption. "It seems that corruption has been legalized under the present dispensation because from top to bottom every one has been involved in corruption with one or other way", Singh said and drew attention of the people towards recent case of corruption in Housing Cooperative Society. He said that corruption has sneaked from top to bottom in the administration and even office of the Chief Minister was under scanner and added from where one can expect justice when office of the Chief Minister is under cloud.
