Jammu, May 19: Work at the ever busiest Transport Section of city Regional Transport Office (RTO), Jammu has come to a halt as lower staff complains about the acute shortage of stationery items in office stock.
According to the sources, the work at the said office already has been affected due to the shortage of staff and now the work has downed further because of the reported shortage of the stationery that is hindering official work at the Regional Transport Office.
The basic needed slips and other stationery items have virtually gone
out of sight putting the visitors to suffer who often are moving from one section or the other while some complaint those who had some influence or have contact with inner sources get the same instantly Sources further added that the entire department, which looks after registration of vehicles, transfer of vehicles, hypothecation and its
cancellation, has come to grinding halt since last seven days," complained one of visitors to RTO office.
One Rajat Sharma, who applied for Registration Certificate alleged that he had been visiting RTO Office for the last several days and
finally he got relieved after meeting RTO Jammu Varinder Salathia who took pain to redress my grievances.
Meanwhile, RTO Jammu Varinder Salathia admitted shortage of stationery items earlier and further said that the shortage is coped up now.
The working process has been kick started, he added.
