EJAC to observe strike on June 9 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 20: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today said it would observe strike across the state on June 9 in support of their demands. Addressing a press conference here, EJAC leaders Suresh Sharma and Subash Soodan said the government employees would stage demonstrations at all the district headquarters of the state on June 9. They said the employees of both the regions today reconstituted their state unit to fight for their demands. The EJAC would not support any call for strike given by any organization of the employees, they added. Their demands included release of arrears of the sixth pay commission in two installments in cash and regularisation of daily wagers and ad-hoc/contractual employees who had completed seven years in service. |
