Two persons involved in trafficking of ganja arrested | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 20: Police today apprehended two persons involved in trafficking of drugs and recovered 2 Kilograms of Ganja (Marijuana) and 1.50 gram of Charas from their possession. The Ganja recovered is valuing worth Rs one lakh (approximately) in the International Market. Acting on specific information that two persons involved in trafficking of drugs are arriving in city to supply a consignment of drugs to their customers, a team of officers of the City police led by Insp Basanti Bhat under the supervision of SP City JS Johar Laid a trap and two persons were nabbed. he duo has been identified as Bharat Kaphai of H No 129, Mohalla Malhotrian and Pawan Naik alias Bihari of Odisha, presently putting up at Peer Kho. The motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AJ 9150, instrumental for carrying consignment was also seized by police. Both the accused persons were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that Kapahi used to acquire the consignment from Srinagar and later on to sell it to the local customers in Jammu. A case in this connection has been registered against arrested persons and further interrogation was in progress.
