Addressing a high-level meeting of officers in his office chamber which was convened to review the arrangements of yatra, the Minister asked the officers to initiate all necessary measures well in advance for successful yatra. The yatra, as per schedule would begin from June 25. Stressing the need for adopting a coordinated approach to meet any eventuality on both the yatra tracks, the Minister said that every individual should be made accountable towards his/her duties during the entire yatra period. He asked for strictly following the advisory of the expert committee on yatra and setting up a special task-force to meet any emergency. The Minister directed both the Directors Health Services to personally supervise the arrangements during the entire yatra period, right from the gateway of Jammu and Kashmir, Lakhanpur to holly cave in order to avoid any untoward incident.
