| CBI court grants bail to ADEO in trap case | | | early times report
JAMMU, May 21: Special judge anti-corruption (CBI) B L Bhat today granted bail to Mukesh Khurana, assistant defence estate officer who was caught red-handed by a CBI team while demanding and accepting bribe from the complainant. After hearing the two sides, the judge referred an apex court judgment and observed that the court was of the considered opinion that a fair trial was possible if the petitioner was given bail.
He then granted bail to the petitioner with the condition that he furnished surety and
personal bonds to the tune of Rs 50,000 each and he shall report to CBI during the investigation as and when required and petitioner shall not try to influence the prosecution witnesses.
The petitioner shall surrender his passport, if any, the court directed. |
