3 sustain burns after truck hits electric transformer

Kishtwar, May 21: Three persons received serious burn injuries after a truck collided with an electric transformer near Ziarat Chowk at old bus stand here today. The incident took place after the truck (JK02T/0875) developed a technical fault while passing through a narrow road near Ziyarat Chowk.
Eyewitnesses said the truck was parked close to the transformer. While someone was removing its tyres, it started moving all of a sudden and collided with the transformer, they added. Three persons sustained an electric shock, resulting in burns to them. They were identified as Farooq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh of Kungwari Palmar, Sajjad Hussain, son of Ghulam Rasool of Palmar and Raiz Ahmed, son of Abdul Karim of Hunjala, Kishtwar. They were admitted to hospital.
