| Hari Om asks Mehbooba to stop playing emotional politics | | | Jammu | Jan 29 Urging the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti to stop playing the politics of emotions, State BJP Vice-President & spokesperson Prof. Hari Om asked her to concentrate on the democratic and economic issues confronting the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He told her that whatever she and her party is demanding is unachievable as the same has been designed to promote the Pakistani cause in Jammu and Kashmir as also to enable Islamabad to share sovereignty with India in Jammu and Kashmir. Prof. Hari Om reminded Mehbooba Mufti and similar other valley-based leaders that the prime cause responsible for the alienation of Kashmiri Muslims from the national mainstream is the negative role played by the valley-based “mainstream” political parties. He said what was required of them was to present a true picture of the Indian political system to the common Kashmiris with a view to integrate them full with rest of their countrymen but regrettably they have utterly failed in this regard. Commended the State Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) S.K. Sinha his Republic day speech, BJP leader said the way he summarily rejected such dubious suggestions as joint control, joint management, joint supervision, self-rule and demilitarization, should be taken as a signal by the valley – based leadership that India is averse to the idea of the state going out of the constitutional organization of India.
