| Students motivated to join Bharat Scouts and Guides | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 21: Rovers and Rangers of the J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides were formally addressed to form a new unit in Government Polytechnic Vikram Chowk, Jammu. The students were apprised of the movement of Scouting by Madam Nasreen Khan State Chief Commissioner Guides. She motivated them to join the movement to be good citizens and lead a value oriented life. Er. Neetu Maini, Principal of the College welcomed all the guest and students. Dr. Renu Nanda Commissioner Rangers/Rovers briefed all about the organization and the rules and regulations of the movement. From the college K.S. Bhatia and Poonam Kotwal would be officiating the daily activities of Rovers and Rangers. The college staff also attended the function. Govt. Polytechnic, Vikram Chowk is the first institution in Jammu region to have a formal unit of Rovers & Rangers. Students were very happy to hear about the organization. Govt. Polytechnic is the first institution in Jammu where the initiative for setting up this unit is taken under the leadership of the Principal. |
