| Reasi zone boys dominate in district level meet | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 21: Reasi zone completely dominated the boys' events winning four of the five team events in the inter-district (boys and girls) competitions of district Reasi played at boys Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Reasi today.
Reasi zone boys clinched kho-kho titles in both under-14 and under-17 age categories, followed by their triumph in kabaddi under-14 and volleyball under-14 age groups. However, the kabaddi under-17 title went to Pouni zone.
The Detailed Results: Finals: Kho-Kho U-14: Reasi zone bt Mahore zone 15-09. Kho-Kho U-17: Reasi zone bt Pouni Zone 14-08. Kabbaddi U-14: Reasi Zone bt Pouni Zone 30-27. Kabbaddi U-17: Pouni Zone bt Reasi Zone 30-21. Volleyball U-17: Reasi Zone bt Mahore Zone.
Prominent among those who witnessed the finals were Station House Officer Reasi, Inspector J S Sambyal and ZEPO Reasi, Kaka Ram Dogra.
Meanwhile, in girls section, Reasi and Pouni zone made their presence felt by sharing the four titles between them.
The Detailed Results: Finals: Kho-Kho U-14: Reasi Zone bt Chassana Zone by 12-08. Kho-Kho U-17: Pouni Zone bt Reasi Zone 12-11. Kabbaddi U-14: Reasi Zone bt Pouni Zone 22-17. Kabbaddi U-17: Pouni Zone bt Reasi Zone 37-24.
Among those prominent present in the finals were Principal of host Boys HSS Reasi, M M Khajuria, Additional Treasury Officer, Prem Kumar Sharma, Naib Tehsildar, Rajesh Baru and ZEO, Surinder Singh.
The inter-zonal competitions of district Reasi conducted by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) under the overall supervision of district officer, Dr S S Chib.
