J&K State contingents of sport persons are going to participate in the 33rd National (games starting from 19th Feb. 2007 at Guwahati as announced by Babu Singh, Minister of Youth Services & Sports.
The contingent from J&K shall complete in 12 disciplines namely athletics, hand ball, wrestling, woshu, rugby, boxing, gymnastics fencing, rowing swimming, Kayaking and trialthlon. J&K sports council will rent the team after screening on 4th Feb; under the banner of J&K Olympic Association. To boost morale of J&K contingent; Sports Minister is leading the team of members of sports council and secretary Olympic Association to Gowahati.
