| JKDF condemns clashes over water in Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 22 : JKDF condemned the incident of clash over Water and violence between two sections of society over Water in Village Raysu (Hatli) of Kathua District. In Meeting of core committee members and workers Anil Gupta Chairman JKDF termed the incident as unfortunate and unacceptable.
The allegations of stopping one particular section of society from using the natural resource such as water are serious. In a modern society we live these types of incidents in the name of caste and creed are totally undesirable and JKDF has taken serious note of this. Nobody has the right to stop anyone of using the Water resources which is necessity of life. Anil Gupta demanded stern action against those who are responsible fr such a heinous act of violence. We deeply condemned the incident of Clashes over issue of untouchability which we have never heard in recent times. Anil Gupta further said Government's failure to provide adequate water supply to the village has resulted into such bizarre incident. Immediate steps should be taken to so that the people of this village and such other villages of State should not face the awkward situation like this. Natural Resources of Water such as Wells and Tube Wells should be preserved by Government agencies so that the people in villages get sufficient drinking water.
