| Verma inspects STP Bhagwati Nagar | | | Early Times report
JAMMU, May 22 : Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma visited Jammu city and inspected ongoing sewerage work here this afternoon. During his visit at BC Road, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary instructions to the executing agency to complete the work well before the commencement of the Amarnath Yatra for the convenience of the pilgrims. He also visited Gujjar Nagar and took stock of the power supply there. He instructed the PDD authorities to immediately replace worn out wires to avoid any mishap.Verma while interacting with the locals said that the vital projects going on in the Jammu city would be completed in a time bound manner so that people do not suffer. Later, he visited the Sewerage Treatment Plant, (STP), Bhagwati Nagar and took stock of the work. The DC was apprised that 90% work has been completed so far and the remaining would be completed in shortest possible time. Chief Planning Officer, H. S. Dutt, Joint Commissioner (works) JMC, Dogra, XEn Sewarage, Drainage, XEn PHE City and engineers from NBCC, PWD (R&B), XEn EM&RE and officers of different departments accompanied the Deputy Commissioner. |
