Panthers' 'Reorganization' rhetoric: Old trumpet, monotonous tune | | | Abodh Sharma jammu, May 22: Panthers' rhetoric over reorganization of the state of Jammu and Kashmir is becoming too monotonous and boring. Besides blowing the trumpet of reorganization, party has done little on ground to exhibit that it is serious to transform its resolve into reality. The MLAs of the party and the party supremo Bhim Singh have repeatedly played the old tune, but the party neither has a definite road map, nor political means to realize its agenda. Interestingly, the demand of reorganization of the state has been pioneered by the RSS, which has advocated cultural, ethnic, linguistic and ideological differences to justify its demand, but even BJP, the political face of the RSS shun this demand for political reasons. While panthers have continued to raise this emotive issue to keep its vote bank in its identified pockets intact, the discrimination with Jammu and ladakh regions continues unabated. The recruitment of banking assistants in the Jammu and Kashmir Bank is a glaring example of government's apathetical attitude towards youth of Jammu. Of the 1200 candidates recruited by the bank, just 300 hundred belonged to Jammu and ladakh regions. Interestingly, the issue was raised by the Panthers party MLA Harshdev Singh during the last session of the state legislature vehemently, the fact that the party did not follow the offensive up with concrete steps is indicative of a 'fixed match'. Meanwhile, NPP yet again raised the Reorganization boggy at a public meeting in Jammu when Balwant Singh Mankotia said, "Reorganization' of the State is the only way out to end the discrimination with the people of Jammu region". In the meeting held at Paloura, Mankotia also castigated the government for its failure to hold ULB elections.
