| Court dismisses bail application of ASI in kidnapping case | | | early times report
JAMMU, May 23: Chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Jatinder Singh Jamwal today dismissed the bail application of ASI Mohinder Lal of Rangpur Murnain, RS Pura, who was arrested for commission of offence under 363 of RPC. Rejecting the bail, the CJM observed that the investigation of the case was in the initial stage and the facts having surfaced during investigation amounted to allegations of serious nature, pertaining to sexual exploitation of young boys by the accused and after going through the material on record particularly the case dairy, the court had no hesitation in holding that the allegations against the accused appeared to be well founded. Admitting the accused to bail at this stage may result in derailing the investigation of the case which presently appears to be moving on the right track. With these observations, the court dismissed the bail application. Meanwhile, forest magistrate Adnan Syed today granted seven days police remand of Mohinder Lal.
