| Divisional level inter-district competitions of DYSS | | Samba, Udhampur take home kho-kho trophies | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 24: Samba district boys clinched under-17 trophy while Udhampur emerged winner in under-14 age group in the two-day divisional level inter-district kho-kho tournament, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Youth Hostel Nagrota, near here today.
Earlier, in under-17 final, Samba defeated Udhampur district by three points making it 9-6 final score on board. In the semifinals, Samba blanked Reasi district (13-00) while Udhampur trounced Doda district by one (03-02) point in a close contest. The Results: Preliminary Round: Kathua bt Rajouri by one point; Doda bt Kishtwar by three points; Ramban bt Jammu district by 12 points; Samba bt Poonch by seven points; Udhampur bt Ramban by four points.
Meanwhile, in under-14 category, Udhampur district emerged winner beating Reasi by three points in the final. Earlier, in the semifinals, Reasi beat district Samba by four points and Udhampur downed Doda district by five points. The Results: Preliminary Round: Reasi bt Jammu district by one point; Doda bt Ramban by four points; Samba bt Kishtwar by six points; Reasi bt Rajouri by eight points; Udhampur blanked Poonch district 05-00. Later, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu, Tirath Ram was chief guest, who gave away winners and runners-up trophies.
