Gandhian Philosophy more relevant today: Peerzada

" There is no substitute to philosophy of non-violence and tolerance propagated by Mahatma Gandhi, has proved beot way of life," said PCC, Chief, Peerzada Mohd Sayeed here today, while paying tributes to father of Nation the occasion of his martyrdom.
Sayeed further said that the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi of Ahinsa" has been acknowledged worldwide and it provides path and solution to all conflicts in the world and there is no substitute to his philosophy for achieving peace and harmony in the world.
He said the Gandhian philosophy has more relevance today and only that will lead to conflict free society in the world. The day also symbolizes spirit of sacrifice, as the day falls on Moharram. He appealed to all these following path of violence to leave the path of bloodshed and hatred and resolve their differences through dialogue..
A two minutes silence was observed at 11 A.M. and the leaders and workers sang Bhajans dear to Mahatma Gandhi.
The function was organized by DCC Urban led by Om Chopra to mark the martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi. Senior Congress leaders Dharam Paul Sharma, MLC Parduman Singh, Yash Paul Khajuria, Amrit Malhotra, Ravinder Sharma, Kanta Bhan, Indu Pawar, Bharat Gandhi Krishan Lal Gupta, Amolak Singh, Ashok Kumar, S. Jaswant Singh, Shanti Vaid, Santosh Majotra, B.B. Gupta, Madan Lal Malagar, Kirtan Singh, Mohinder Panotra, Jagan Nath, Nazir Ahmed, Vijay Sharma, Om Parkash, Keshva Nand, Pawan Sharma, JK Chopra , Manmohan Singh, Jugal Kishore, Balwinder Singh Sambyal, Rajesh Sharma, M.S. Bedi, Inyat Ullah, Narinder Gupta and others attended the function.
