Security forces foil LeT plan to carry out attacks, 2 arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 23: Security forces foiled a Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) plan to carry out militant attacks when they arrested two ultras responsible for grenade attacks in the Kashmir valley. A police spokesman said here this afternoon that 35 Rashtri Rifles (RR) and police on a tip-off conducted a joint operation in Badgam. Two LeT militants Irshad Ahmad Dar and Fayaz Ahmad Paul alias Fayaz Traila were arrested. During the questioning, the militants admitted their involvement in grenade attacks at Hyderpora and Ompora in the central Kashmir district of Badgam. They further said the grenades were procured from Sopore. The spokesman said the duo was planning attacks on security forces and vital installations.
