| DM bans dumping of construction material on roadsides | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 24: The District Magistrate (DM), Udhampur, P.K. Pole in exercise of powers under section 144 Cr. PC has imposed ban on dumping of all type of construction material like bricks, sand, Bajri, stones etc on the public paths, link roads and National Highways of the district, Which create obstruction in the smooth movement of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, thereby causing public nuisance which is punishable offence. DM also imposed ban on display of material, items outside shops by the shopkeepers, installations of temporary shops in lanes, bye lanes and dumping of scrap material by Scrap Dealers in front of their shops beyond the permissible limit.
The public in general is informed through this notice to lift all type of construction material and obstacles on the road sides immediately, failing which action under law would follow and the material so dumped shall be confiscated. The order shall have immediate effect and shall remain in force for a period of two months.
