| Cop beat his second wife in court premises | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, May 24: A constable allegedly beat his wife in court premises when the latter went to seek justice in the court of law.
As per reports the incident took place in presence of other police officials, sources said. As per complaint lodged by victim Parveen Akhtar, she was going to attend court hearing when the accused head constable posted in IRP 11 Battalion , who happens to be her husband, appeared in the court with another person identified as Sadiq Mohd son of Najab Din of Pacholi,Samba and slapped her thrice besides threatened her.
Complainant stated that she was married to the head constable and was living with him at Channi Himmat government police line quarters but after few months she came to know that her husband is already married and is father of two children.
After being cheated she lodged civil complaint with the court to get justice. Meanwhile, Samba police when contacted confirmed the reports, adding the investigation in this regard is in progress.
