27 cases settled in Mega lok adalat

Udhampur, May 24 : As per the directions of the state legal service authority and with the aim to provide relief to the litigants by providing mutually agreeable solutions to the parties, saving time, energy and money of the parties, Tehsil Legal Services Committee Ramnagar organized a two days long Mega Lok Adalat on 23 and 24th May in the premises of sub judge, Court Ramnagar.The Mega Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship of Sandeep Kour ,Sub Judge (JMIC) Ramnagar , who is also the Chairman of the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Ramnagar . As many as 40 cases were taken up in lok adalat out which27 cases were settled in Mega Lok Adalat held here at Sub Judge Court Ramnagar. Speaking on the occasion, Sub Judge stressed for greater legal awareness among people, particularly those living in rural areas, about the concept and functions of lok adalats. She added that Lawyers could also play pivotal role in sensitising the people in this direction, he added. She added that mega lok adalats are being simultaneously held statewide with the aim of providing speedy justice to the litigants and solve maximum possible cases with mutual consent.
She made the participants aware about various Acts and Schemes launched by the Government for the farewell of public and urged the people to avail benefits of the schemes. Mega Lok Adalat witnessed a cheering response from litigants, who came forward to settle their long-pending disputes, escaping the ruinous cost of litigation and technical procedures. Beside tehsildar Ramngar Susheel Kesar. SDPO, Bar President Mohan lal, Senior V .K Bhat, Bar members K.D Sharma , Sudesh Kumar Gupta , Rohin Bhardwaj and Vikrant Sharma attended the camp.
