Don't need anyone's certificate: Er Rashid
5/25/2012 11:17:55 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 25: Terming the Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq's statement as ridiculous, MLA Langate Engineer Rashid today criticized statement which Engineer Rashid had been quoted saying that the Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz was preparing for elections. He said that he doesn't need any certificate from anyone.
Reacting to Mirwaiz's statement where he had termed the legislator as
'frustrated', Rashid asked why he should feel frustrated over the
Hurriyat's public gathering as according to him, they had used their
full manpower and mobilized all their resources across the state to
get a few thousand people to Langate.
Castigating the Hurriyat, Rashid has asked Hurriyat Conference (M) to
clear its stand on some very serious questions raised by him on the
occasion. In a statement MLA Langate said that he does not need
anybody's certificate to prove what he stands for.
He said that he is representing people who are mature enough to
understand his mission and have sacrificed much more than the self
styled leaders enjoying in highly decorated bedrooms and living a
luxurious life.
Hitting out at the Hurriyat leaders, Er Rashid said that the
conglomerate needs to come clear on many issues including the
Wikileaks revelations, UN resolutions and sharing stage with the
mainstream leaders during 2002 elections.
MLA Langate Engineer Rashid stated that it is unfortunate that
whosoever wants a clarification about genuine questions is labeled as
anti movement as if this whole struggle is a private enterprise owned
by few people and few families. He said that people are mature enough
to judge that who is working against the sentiments and aspirations of
the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Er Rashid challenged the Hurriyat Leaders to have an open and frank
debate over all issues and offered to resign if Hurriyat proves him
wrong as Kashmiris are now mature enough to make a difference between
their well wishers and those who want to sell their blood and rule
their heads.
