JAMMU, May 26: The KC Public School girls clinched both under-14 and under-17 titles in the inter-school competitions of Jammu district, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at different venues, here today. Earlier, in the under-14 final, KC Public defeated Shangrilla Higher Secondary School by 3-0. The Results were Jhanvi Pandoh bt Archita Sharma by 11-02 and 11-05; Shreya Mahajan bt Pallavi Jasrotia by 11-02 and 11-04. Doubles: Jhanvi Pandoh and Shreya Mahajan bt Archita Sharma and Pallavi 11-06, 11-02. Later, in under-17 category, KC Public School trounced JK Public School by 3-1. The Results were Apo-orva bt Vanshika by 11-07 and 11-04; Shilonka Anand bt Surbhi by 11-08 and 11-07; Simran Gupta lost to Ritul Charak by 07-11 and 09-11. Reverse singles: Apoorva bt Surbhi Jamwal by 11-07, 05-11 and 11-08. BADMINTON Boys Under-14: MIER beat Delhi Public School by 2-0: Raghav bt Akhil Khajuria 21-02, 2-10. Doubles: Raghav and Shubam bt Shivam and Shivang by 22-20 and 21-13. BADMINTON Boys Under-17: KC Public defeated Army Pubic School Domana 2-0: Nalin bt Vikram by 16-21, 21-08, 21-12 and 21-15. Doubles: Nalin and Parth bt Vikram and Sahil by 21-12 and 21-15. Semifinals: KC Public bt DBN 2-1 and Army Pubic School Domana bt MHAC Nagbani 2-0. BADMINTON Girls Under-14: JK Public School trounced Presentation Convent by 2-1: Shafaq lost to Naman by 04-21and 07-21. Doubles: Shafaq and Prakriti bt Amisheeka and Jasleen by 21-07 and 21-10. Reverse singles: Prakriti bt Jasleen by 21-03 and 21-13. BADMINTON Girls Under-17: KC Public School bt JK Public School by 2-0: Mitakshna bt Palak 21-00, 21-05. TUG OF WAR Girls Under-14: Guru Harkrishan Public School beat DBN School by 2-0. Semifinal: DBN beat Government Middle School Mian Fateh by 2-0. TUG OF WAR Girls Under-17: Guru Har-krishan Public School defeated Government Girls Higher Secondary School Mubarak Mandi by 2-0 to bag the trophy. For third place, DBN beat Government Girls High School Simbal Camp by 2-0 in hardliner.
