| JYBT organises free medical check-up camp | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 26: Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) organised 23rd free medical check-up camp for cancer patients here today. In the camp, 75 patients were provided medical consultation by renowned Oncologist Dr Ashok Vaid, Chairman Institute of Oncology Medanta-the Medicity, Gurgaon, and his team of doctors.
Dr Vaid also distributed costly medicines free of cost to some patients.
On the occasion, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pardeep Gupta, who visited the medical camp, felicitated Dr Ashok Vaid for rendering noble service to the people of Jammu by visiting here almost every month to give free check up and consultation to the patients suffering with cancer related ailments. The Divisional Commissioner also felicitated Dr Davinder Sharma, Oncologist from Medanta- the Medicity who accompanied Dr Vaid, during latter's visit to Jammu.
Gupta also felicitated Dr Deepak Abrol, from department of Oncology Govt. Medical College Jammu, who has been through out assisting Dr. Ashok Vaid on his every visit for check up of patients in Jammu as also keeping patients liaison with Dr Asok Vaid, for follow up consultation. He also felicitated Archina Choudhary, working in SKUAST, Jammu for regularly assisting Dr. Ashok Vaid, in his humanitarian and benevolent venture.
The Divisional Commissioner lauded the role and benevolent activities of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, who, he said, has been rendering great service to the humanity by organizing monthly free medical camps. |
