| NPP to hold national integration camp | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 26: JKNPP is organizing 34th National Integration Camp at Sudhmahadev from 2nd to 4thJune 2012 in continuation of its relentless efforts for promoting harmony and brotherhood among various linguistics and religious denominations of the people. Initiated in the year 1978 by Prof. Bhim Singh, the JKNPP has been annually organizing the National Integration Camp at Sudhmahadev where people from the entire state as well as from other states of the country have been participating. The National Integration Camp has gained more significance in view of the challenges posed by the communal and fundamentalist forces to the peoples' unity. The policy of discrimination pursued by those in power in the state has resulted into mistrust and tensions amongst the people residing in various regions of the state. In a release to the press the Spokesman of the party and Incharge working committee/conventions Shri Hari Chand Jalmeria Advocate has stated that in the Integration Camp, the JKNPP has organized cultural programmes of Dogri Folk songs, poetry, dances and other forms of performing art in which artists from hilly and plane areas of Duggar Pradesh are taking part. On this occasion the JKNPP has also convened meeting of its extended working committee on 3rd of June 2012 which shall commence in the Dr. Thakur Dass Hall at Sudhmahadev at 11:00 a.m. sharp which shall be attended by all the members of the working committee of this state besides by the Chairman of the party Prof. Bhim Singh and members of state executives of other states in the country. The working committee shall chalk out a comprehensive programme for carrying forward its agenda of'Reorganization' of the state of J&K for making the secretariat functional throughout the year at Srinagar as well as at Jammu, making separate Assemblies with political, Legislative, Financial, Delimitation, recruitment etc powers and separate Chief Ministers for three regions of the state. The working committee shall also deliberate the emerging political scenario in the country vis-à-vis loss of confidence of the people in the ruling UPA alliance in the Centre and the need to build appropriate and viable alternative with the cooperation of emerging regional political parties in the country. The JKNPP has invited the people in general to participate in the National Integration camp in a big way. |
