DIQA organises one day workshop at JU | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 26: Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance, University of Jammu in collaboration with Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi organized a one day workshop on All India Survey on Higher Education . The All India Survey on Higher Education is a project initiated by the MHRD and is aimed at identifying and capturing all institutions of higher learning in the country with an objective to collect updated ,correct and reliable information about the institutions of higher learning. Nodal officers from the universities and colleges have been nominated for conducting the survey. The workshop was attended by nodal officers from more than 120 affiliated government and private colleges of the University of Jammu, besides participation from nodal officers from sister universities- Central University of Jammu, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and SKUAST-Jammu. The workshop was aimed at training the nodal officers on the detailed methodology of conducting the survey . Prof. DeshBandhu, Director, Colleges Development and Directorate of Distance Education was the chief guest of the valedictory session of the workshop. Sanjay, Director, and Ms. Ruchi, Deputy Director, Ministry of Human Resource Development were the resource persons on the occasion. At the outset, Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Director, Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance welcomed the guests and introduced the resource persons to the participants and highlighted the importance of this survey. Prof. Bandhu in his address appreciated the initiative taken by the Directorate of the Internal Quality Assurance in holding of this workshop and hoped that a robust comprehensive data will be developed through this survey, which will pave way for perspective planning and informed decision making in the field of higher education of the country.. |
