Health awareness camps organized for under privileged | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 26: A health and hygiene awareness camp was organized at Slums of Maratha Colony Near Railway Station, Jammu in which 108 School going Slum children were examined and administered medicines under the supervision of Dr Kavita Nijohn, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary. The free health camp was coordinated by Kanchan Sharma, Vice President Young Blood Association, who is managing the slum school under the name of Sangharash Vidya Kender. In a similar camp at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni, Jammu a total of 214 patients were examined under the supervision of Surinder Verma. Lab. Tech, Monika Sharma, Sr. Lab. Tech., Sohan Lal, Pharmacists and Anil Kumar, Ophthalmic Asstt Anil K Padha, Hony Secretary, Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu said that during the camps organized by Red Cross society about 66 persons were benefited. :The Ambulance service provided to 8 patients covering 3857 Km in the previous month, he added. He appealed the Life Member of Red Cross to come forward and join hands with its activities to help the under privileged persons in Jammu Region. |
