Dr Karan Singh visits DPS Katra | | | Early Times Report
Katra, May 26: Member Parliament Rajya Sabha and sole trustee Rajput Charitable Trust (J&K), Dr Karan Singh today visited Delhi Public School (DPS), Katra and took a round of the school campus nestled at the holy foothills of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. During his visit Dr Singh interacted with the students and staff besides appreciating their hard work. He exhorted them to keep with the international standards set by the school. He lauded the achievements of the school and its students and especially congratulated the students of Class X of DPS Jammu and Katra for their outstanding performance in the recently declared CBSE result. He also acknowledged the hard work and efforts put in by Ajat Shatru Singh, daughter- in- law Kunwrani Ritu Singh and S S Sodhi, Director, DPS Jammu for initiating educational ventures par excellence and imparting quality education to the students of Jammu, Katra and in the far flung area like Leh. He further motivated the students to participate in nation building process by strengthening the four main pillars of life - mental, physical, emotional and spiritual, besides the academics and urged them to spread the message of "Universal love and brotherhood" for global prosperity. Earlier S Sonar, Principal DPS Jammu, welcomed Dr Karan Singh by presenting a memento as token of reverence and thanked him for inaugurating Yasho-Karan Park for the people of Jammu & Kashmir. S S Sodhi Director, DPS Jammu, Katra, Leh and Udhampur conveyed his gratitude to Dr Karan Singh for sparing his valuable time from his busy schedule for encouraging and blessing the students and staff for their bright and meaningful future. |
