| Arms, ammunition recovered from Mahore | | |

KATRA, May 26: Arms and ammunition were today recovered by security forces from Hajjam Nagar near Chhappar Nullah in Mahore area of Reasi.The operation, which was launched by a joint column of police and 51 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), continued from 6 am to 2 pm, official sources said.
Sources said during searches, the troops came across a militant hideout that contained arms and ammunition.The recovery included one .12 bore rifle, 101 pika rounds, 172 AK rounds, four Insas magazines along with 78 rounds, one IED circuit fitted with a battery, six rifle cylinders, 61 detonators, three Chinese grenades, one wireless set and 45 pencil cells.
The troops were maintaining a tight vigil in the area and keeping an eye on the activities of suspects, the sources added. |
