VHP reaffirms to start Amarnath Yatra on June 3 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 26: Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP), which has planned to commence Amarnath Yatra from Jyeshth Purnima will send the first batch of devotees of Shiv Bhakts from Jammu on June 3.The first batch of devotees will reach Baltal same evening and will perform darshan at the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath on June 4 on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshth Purnima. Addressing a press conference here today at Shakti Ashram, the president VHP, J&K, Dr Rama Kant Dubey announced that in the first batch thousands of Shiv Bhakts, which are coming from different states shall reach Jammu by June 2.These Shiv Bhakts will assemble at Parade Ground Jammu for their onward journey to Baltal on June 3, from where they will be boarding their vehicles for their onward journey to Baltal after a small ceremony in front of Dogra Brahaman Pratinidhi Sabha Parade Ground here. Dr Dubey further disclosed that we have already intimated the state administration that these pilgrims will be leaving in buses, light vehicles etc., from Parade Ground. He said that different groups of Shiv Bhakts will also leave for Baltal from other district headquarters of J&K State on June 3.Dr Dubey said that Vishav Hindu Parishad is of the firm belief that Amarnath Yatra should start from auspicious Jyeshth Purnima which is falling on June 4 this year and culminate at Raksha Bandhan. Dr Dubey further stated that Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) doesn't care about the sentiments of Hindus as it has not bothered about the repeated requests of VHP and various other Hindu organisations for reviewing its decision of starting the Amarnath Yatra from June 25, which is totally unjustifiable, unconstitutional and anti- Hindu decision and that is the reason, we have decided to start the Yatra of Baba Amarnath on our own from Jyeshth Purnima. |
