Employees protest against 'indifferent' attitude of Govt | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, May 26: Employees of different unions, associations, forums, organizations and public sector undertakings gathered at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park here today and protested against the alleged callous, indifferent and anti-employee attitude of the state Government towards its employees. Addressing the employees, district president Kuldip Singh demanded immediate and unconditional release of all the arrest Govt. employees. Singh said that Government has forced the employees to go on strike as it has failed in implementing its agreements made with JCC leaders on September 15 2011.He said six months time was given to Government to full fill demands which include enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years at par with the central Govt. employees, regulations of all adhoc, daily wagers, contractual and need based workers who have completed seven years in service and removal of pay anomalies of all cadres. The state Govt had back tracked from its commitments and this forced the employees to go on strike. While addressing the employees Amar Nath Thakur said that we all should stand firm as rock to force the state Govt to full fill its commitments. He said this is a do or die and now or never situation for the employees so all should unite at this crucial stage to in the larger interest of the employees. |
